1. Parties and acceptance
These terms are an agreement between you and Shenzhen Movoire Technology Co., Ltd. (a limited liability company with a single shareholder, registered in the People’s Republic of China; referred to below as “Movoire”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Movoire application and related services (together, the “Service”).
Before you start using the Service, please read these terms and our Privacy Policy in full. By registering an account, signing in, or using any feature of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Movoire is designed for adults and does not permit children to register or use it independently.
2. What the service does
Movoire helps you turn your own hand-drawn artwork into animated works. The main features are:
- importing your artwork by camera or from your photo library;
- automatic scene understanding, motion choreography and animation generation;
- saving, playing and sharing the generated animated works;
- membership subscriptions and monthly animation quotas.
In-app community features are planned for a later release. Community browsing, posting, likes, comments and follows are not available in the current app.
Inside the app the generation process is always presented to users as three steps: “prepare the scene / choreograph the motion / generate the animation”. We do not promise any particular generation speed, visual result or style — the outcome is determined by the model together with your original artwork, and is inherently somewhat unpredictable.
A generated animated work is a read-only finished product. The Service does not offer the ability to edit the original artwork or adjust the motion choreography. If you want a different result, start a new creation.
Sample works, sample users, interaction counts, dates and processing reference numbers shown in the app are demo data. They do not represent real user activity, real reviews or real processing records.
3. Accounts and sign-in
- You can sign in with an Apple or Google account. Both are available in every language.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and device secure. Activity carried out through your account is treated as your own.
- One account is held by one adult. If you use the account on behalf of a family, you remain responsible for all content and activity in it.
- You may not transfer, rent, lend or share your account with others, and you may not use automated scripts to register or operate accounts in bulk.
- If you notice that your account has been compromised or shows unusual activity, contact us immediately.
4. Your artwork and content
The original artwork you upload, the animated works generated from it, titles, notes and any other content you submit (together, “your content”) remains owned by you or the original rights holder. We claim no ownership over your content.
You must ensure that:
- you have the right to upload and process the artwork. If it was created by someone else (for example a child’s drawing, or a commissioned work), you must have obtained the necessary permission;
- your content does not infringe any third party’s copyright, likeness rights, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- your content does not contain other people’s sensitive personal information, identity documents, precise home addresses, or information that could identify a child;
- your content does not violate any law, and is not among the content prohibited by section 6 of these terms.
You may share a generated video using your device’s share menu. Movoire does not publish your work in an in-app community in the current version. Once you share a file outside Movoire, the destination service’s own terms and privacy practices apply.
5. The licence you grant us
In order to provide the Service to you, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence limited to what is necessary to operate the Service:
- to transmit and store your content between your device and our servers;
- to pass your artwork to the third-party AI model services we engage, in order to complete generation (see section 5 of the Privacy Policy);
- to carry out the technical processing and review necessary for safety and compliance purposes.
This licence is limited to operating the Service and does not include: using your content to train our own models, generating “same-style” content for other users, using it for advertising, or selling it to unrelated third parties. The licence ends when you delete the content or delete your account, except for records we must retain to meet legal obligations.
6. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you must not:
- upload or publish content that violates the law, including but not limited to content involving pornography, violence, terrorism, hatred and discrimination, gambling, or trade in prohibited goods;
- upload or generate any sexualised, exploitative or otherwise inappropriate content involving minors;
- upload other people’s identity documents, intimate images, trade secrets, or personal information you are not authorised to share;
- infringe other people’s copyright, trademark, likeness or other rights;
- impersonate another person or organisation, or invent an identity in order to mislead others;
- use the Service to harass, insult, threaten or personally attack others, to dox them, or to file malicious reports;
- post spam, artificially inflated engagement, advertising, or promotional material unrelated to the artwork;
- attempt to bypass quota limits, register accounts in bulk, or use automated means to farm generation quota or abuse the free trial;
- reverse engineer, crack or tamper with the Service, or launch attacks, scans or stress tests against it, or otherwise interfere with its normal operation;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or to scrape server-side data.
If you breach these rules, we may — depending on the severity — remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account, potentially without further notice. If your breach causes loss to others or to us, you are responsible for it.
7. Community availability
The in-app community is not open in the current version. You cannot publish a post, browse other users’ works, comment, follow, report or block users in the app. We will update these terms and explain the relevant controls before enabling community features. For current safety or content concerns, contact [email protected].
8. Membership, subscriptions and quotas
- Membership subscriptions are purchased through in-app purchase on the App Store and Google Play, and are subject to those stores’ terms. We do not process your payment information directly.
- The international edition uses fixed monthly animation quotas: Starter at $9.99/month for 22 works; Family at $19.99/month for 45; Creator at $34.99/month for 80. New users get one free trial work, once per account for life.
- The rules for deducting quota, returning it when generation fails, carrying it over, and upgrading or downgrading are as set out in the in-app explanations.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in the store’s subscription management. After cancelling, you can still use what you have paid for until the end of the current period.
- Refund requests are handled by the relevant app store under its refund policy. We can help you understand the process, but have no authority to decide refunds on the store’s behalf.
- Plans, prices and benefits in other markets are as described in the app at the time of release in that market.
9. Intellectual property
The Movoire name, the “Movoire” brand marks, the app interface, icons, text, code and technical designs are owned by us or the relevant rights holders. Except for the rights expressly granted in these terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute or use them commercially.
Intellectual property in your content always remains yours, and these terms do not transfer any rights in your content.
10. Service changes, interruptions and termination
- We may continue to update, adjust or discontinue parts of the Service. If a change would materially affect your rights, we will tell you in advance through an in-app notice or by email.
- The Service relies on third-party cloud and AI model services and may be temporarily interrupted by maintenance, upgrades, network failures or the unavailability of those services. We will do our best to restore it, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted.
- If we decide to discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable advance notice and allow you time to export your works and deal with your subscription.
- If you seriously breach these terms, we may suspend or terminate your right to use the Service.
11. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranty that: generation results will meet your particular expectations or be suitable for a particular purpose; the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure; or third-party services will remain available.
AI generation is inherently unpredictable. Please judge for yourself whether a generated work is suitable for your purpose, and check that the content is appropriate before sharing it outside the app.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or punitive losses, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
For direct loss arising from the Service, our total aggregate liability is capped at the total amount you actually paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer protected by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction, these terms do not exclude the rights you have under that law.
13. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time. You can do so in the app under “Mine” → Settings → Account → Delete account, or submit a web request through the account and data deletion page. How data is handled after deletion is described in section 11 of the Privacy Policy.
Deletion is irreversible. Please save any works you want to keep beforehand. Subscriptions you have not cancelled are not cancelled automatically by deleting your account — please also cancel them in the relevant app store.
14. Notices and updates to these terms
We may update these terms for feature, legal or operational reasons, and we will update the version number and the “Last updated” date on this page. If a change would materially affect your rights, we will tell you in advance through an in-app notice or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Notices we send you may be delivered through in-app messages, in-app announcements, or the email address you provided.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
The formation, validity, interpretation and dispute resolution of these terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules).
Disputes arising from these terms should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may bring proceedings in the competent people’s court where the operating entity is located. If mandatory law in your jurisdiction gives you the right to sue in your local courts, that right is not limited by this section.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy together form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
